How Does It Work?

Once secure, the net supports their full body weight evenly, allowing the rescuer to lift or roll them aboard with minimal effort, whether they are conscious or not. Its design minimises stress on the spine, neck, and limbs during recovery.

Step 1 - Deployment

The rescuer lowers the net into the water using a weighted rope system. This ensures the net quickly reaches and spreads at water level beside the person in distress, without requiring the rescuer to enter the water.

Step 2 - Position the Casualty

The person in the water is guided or floats into the open net, which stays suspended in the water by a stabilising frame. The rescuer holds the vertical pole upright, allowing the net to cradle the casualty horizontally, helping to keep their airway clear of the water and minimising risk of shock or injury.

Step 3 - Recovery

Once the casualty is secure, the rescuer pulls on the retrieval ropes. This action rolls the net and the person inside up and out of the water, either over the gunwale or up onto the deck, depending on vessel height and configuration.
