It protects bait from non-target species and harsh marine conditions during the early part of the soak, then releases bait on a schedule you set. Many crews align release with night feeding windows to improve catch consistency while reducing bait loss and cutting bait consumption by an estimated 50% to 75%. For longer soaks, Connect also helps keep pots productive without constant rebaiting by releasing bait at the right time, even across multiple days. Built from durable, marine-grade materials and depth rated to 183 metres (100 fathoms), it’s designed for harsh conditions and dependable performance.

Connect is a smart bait control system built around three simple components. Once set up, the workflow is straightforward: set your modes, choose your mode at sea, close the container and fish.
How It Works
Step 1 - Load the Bait
Place 25%–50% of your usual bait into the bait ba. Insert the bag into the Bait Container.
Step 2 - Close the Bait Container
Rotate the Bait Container shut to keep the bait protected from predators and the environment until release.
Step 3 - Baiting
At your set time, the container opens automatically, optimising catch rates while reducing trips to sea.
Smarter Rebaiting - Without Leaving the Dock 🦞
With the Bait Saviour Bait Container (a timed bait release container and bait saver container), you can rebait your creel, lobster pot or crab pot remotely with no need to head back out to sea. Simply load the container with bait, close it to start the countdown timer, and it will automatically open at your chosen release time during the soak.
If poor weather, rough seas, or a storm keeps you ashore, you can still keep your gear fishing effectively. Bait stays protected until it’s needed, then releases on schedule so you maintain bait freshness and reduce bait loss even when you can’t get out. The result is longer productive soaks, fewer unnecessary trips offshore, lower fuel use, and improved catch consistency.

THE HUB
The Hub connects your Bait Containers to the Online Portal. Every time a container is closed, the Hub checks:

It then communicates this information directly to your Bait Containers, ensuring everything runs seamlessly and wirelessly.
THE REMOTE
The Remote gives you flexibility at sea, even without internet. Before heading out, you set up to four time modes in the online portal, each with its own bait release time or delay. Once at sea, simply use the Remote to switch your bait container between these modes, adapting instantly to changing conditions. For example, your modes could be set as:

🟡 Mode 2 - 03:00
🔵 Mode 3 - 6 Hour Delay
🟢 Mode 4 - 22:45 (+2 Days)

The Bait Bag

The bait bag is designed to make rebaiting your Bait Saviour Bait Container (bait saver container) quick, clean, and hassle-free. Instead of handling loose bait every time, you remove the used bait bag and slot in a fresh one, reducing mess and cutting down the time and effort needed on deck. Once the new bait bag is in place, close the timed bait release container and it’s ready for the next soak.
For consistent performance in harsh marine conditions, each bait bag includes a tether that keeps the bag positioned correctly inside the bait container during scheduled release. This simple, robust setup helps ensure bait is released where it needs to be, supporting reliable bait availability, reduced bait loss, and improved catch consistency in lobster pots, crab pots, creels, and other shellfish traps.
