Why we developed Classic

Bait Container Connect remains the right solution for crews who want maximum flexibility. It allows release timing to be programmed and adjusted, making it ideal for variable tides, changing weather windows, and longer or more complex soak strategies.

That said, not everyone needs that level of control.

A lot of fishermen told us they wanted a version that was easier to use day to day. Something they could buy with a chosen delay, load with bait, close, and fish. No Hub. No Remote. No Portal. No system setup. Just a reliable container that works the same way every time.

So that’s what we built.

What is Bait Container Classic?

Bait Container Classic is a timed bait release container for commercial lobster and crab fishing. It protects bait from non-target species and harsh marine conditions during the early part of the soak, then releases it automatically after a preset delay.

That delay is chosen at purchase and built into the unit, so every soak follows the same predictable pattern.

Classic has been designed to remove barriers and make timed bait release as easy as possible. You load the bait, close the container, and the countdown starts. After the preset delay, the container opens automatically and releases the bait bag into the pot. That’s it.
